Picture Books

In Picture Books at least half the content is illustrations, the pictures being at least as important as the text in conveying the book's message. Most Picture Books are short, usually 32 pages or less.

CLASSICS — Outstanding contributions to children's literature
POP-UP — Incorporates "paper engineering"

Nursery Rhymes, Songs, Tales

Books containing traditional and modern stories, rhyming verses, and songs popular with young children. Often heavily illustrated, sometimes in Picture Book format. Examples include stories such as The Gingerbread Man, rhymes such as Pat-a-Cake, and songs like Rock-a-Bye-Baby.
